While sneaker designs are often taken at face value, sometimes brands choose to add positive messages and themes to silhouettes in their lineup. Look no further than Jordan Brand who has just added a message everyone can get behind, Unity, to the Air Jordan 1 Low.
Covered in an array of materials, including tumbled leather, suede, and corduroy, the sneaker features various shades of purple mixed with sail hits throughout. Around the mudguard, eyestays, and heel sits a shade of purple Jordan Brand called “purple smoke,” accenting the true purple shades found via the leather toebox, corduroy tongue, and suede Nike Swoosh. Along the aforementioned toe, you’ll find a heartfelt message stating “Because one day this day will be our every day” alongside a graphic depicting a flower, sun, and four-leaf clover. Directly nodding to the title of this colorway is text stating “Equality” and “Unity,” found on the edges of the toebox. Located near all of this is a set of sail laces, matching the quarter panel and sockliner while golden accents appear on the Jumpman-branded tongue tag and the olive branch embroidered on the heel overlay. A Jordan Wings logo just around the corner from this embroidery completes the upper while the entire design is finished off by a sail midsole and purple rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Low Unity W is set to release in on March 6th, 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
