What is often considered the sneaker that began the sneakerhead culture, the Air Jordan 1 saw its first release in 1985 with both a high-top and low-top variant. Over the years, the silhouette has wanned in and out of popularity with the AJ 1 High often being considered the superior silhouette, though this doesn’t mean Jordan Brand doesn't show the low-top sneaker any love. The latest AJ 1 Low to appear has already seen a release this year, though now we’ll have a second opportunity to secure a pair of the Air Jordan 1 Low "Shadow Toe."
Coming in the classic all-leather construction across the upper, the colorway takes on neutral shades of grey, white, and black throughout. As the name suggests, the toebox gets dressed in shadow grey with the mudguard, eyestays, and tongue nearby coming in a deep black. Running up to the shadow grey Jumpman logo atop the tongue is a set of black flat laces. Along the white midfoot panel, a black Nike Swoosh runs in between both the shadow grey collar and heel overlay, stopping just above a black embroidered Jordan Wings logo. Rounding out the look is the white AJ 1 midsole paired with a shadow grey rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Low Shadow Toe is slated to release on August 5th, 2022 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s and gradeschool sizing, the retail price is set at $100 for men’s pairs.
