The Air Jordan 1 Low has become a canvas for storytelling, blending iconic designs with fresh narratives that resonate with sneakerheads and Jordan enthusiasts. As we look ahead to Summer 2024, Jordan Brand continues to expand its repertoire by introducing the Air Jordan 1 Low SE Flight Vintage. This release accompanies the Jordan 1 Mid version, paying tribute to Michael Jordan's enduring legacy, capturing the essence of his nickname, black cat, and his ventures beyond basketball.
This particular iteration of the Air Jordan 1 Low SE adopts a palette that seamlessly combines blue, white, and black, with each color thoughtfully applied to accentuate the sneaker's vintage charm. The faded blue on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay sets a subdued yet striking backdrop. The midfoot Swoosh stands out in cracked black leather, hinting at the passage of time and the lasting impact of MJ's legacy. The sneaker's design is further enriched with a retro-style logo featuring a cat, a subtle homage to Jordan's agility and stealth on the basketball court, alongside the Jordan Flight text on the tongue.
This logo reappears in full color on the left insole, adding a layer of detail and storytelling to the design. Beneath the sneaker, a cream rubber midsole adds a touch of aged elegance, contrasting beautifully with the grey outsole to round off the vintage aesthetic. However, the right sneaker features a hit of bubblegum pink near the toe, a nod to MJ’s baseball days.
The Air Jordan 1 Low SE Flight Vintage will release in Summer 2024 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
