The Air Jordan 1 Low was created by Peter Moore in 1985. In 2015, Flyease technology was created by Tobie Hatfield. I would be remiss to not mention Matthew Walzer, the consumer turned wear tester who helped with the final development of Flyease. The first sneaker to have the Flyease technology was the Nike LeBron Soldier 8. Fast forward to 2022 and there are many different silhouettes with the Flyease technology, the latest being the Air Jordan 1 Low Flyease.
Nicknamed the “Taxi” edition, this Air Jordan 1 Low Flyease comes in a clean white, taxi, and black colorway. It features taxi yellow on the Swoosh, toecap, velcro Flyease closure system, branding and outsole. Black accents the rest of the Flyease tech, as well as the back heel tab and lining. A white toebox, side panels and midsoles complete the look.
The Air Jordan 1 Low Flyease Taxi is set to release in September 2022. It will drop at Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, online and in-store. Men’s pairs will retail for $130 while GS comes in at $90.
