Trends within the fashion world are constantly shifting. Whether that be the design cues or the color palette. The mid-2010s sock-like silhouettes dominating the sneaker world turned to the dad shoe, a chunky retro design that was aided by the likes of the adidas Yeezy 700 and Balenciaga Triple S. When it comes to women's fashion, platform silhouettes have made a huge comeback, seen recently on the Nike Blazer. Now, Jordan Brand is here to deliver with a familiar look on the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low Elevate “University Blue.”
A simple two-tone look takes over the silhouette's all-leather build with the toebox, tongue, and midfoot panel coming in a stark white that contrasts the university blue placed on the mudguard, eyelets, Nike Swoosh, and heel overlays. Tonal stitching throughout helps give the upper some depth while the inside of the sneaker features a Nike Air branded cork insole. Down below, an elevated platform midsole in white is set to a blue reworked AJ 1 outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low SE University Blue W is set to release on April 15th, 2022 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming exclusively in women's sizing, this pair will retail for $140.
