While 2022 marks the 30th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 7, the year arguably belongs to the Air Jordan 2. This is not only because Jordan Brand has some high heat collabs on the underrated AJ2, but a return of the OG colorway for the holidays. Putting that aside, JB has also done the AJ 7 a disservice for its anniversary year. Only one colorway has been released so far, and only about a handful of pairs are slated to drop before the year closes.
But what is lacking in Air Jordan 7 releases is only highlighted on other silhouettes inspired by Michael Jordan’s seventh signature sneaker. For example, this upcoming Bugs Bunny themed Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT takes direct cues from the original Air Jordan 7 “Hare.” Coming in white, true red, light silver, and dark concord, white leather overlays are paired with grey suede underlays. Classic AJ 7 vibes come via the printed tongue and insoles. Red accents and dark concord rounding the Zoom Air cushioned bottom of the outsole complete the cartoon character’s signature look.
The Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT Hare is set to release in August 2022. It will drop at Nike, as well as select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, both online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizes, retail is set at $150.
