The Air Jordan 1 High 85 is the most accurate recreation of the original AJ 1 to date. Three colorways have seen limited releases with the “Varsity Red/Black” and “New Beginnings” pairs in 2020 followed by the “Neutral Grey” earlier this year. In 2022 another classic color scheme is set to drop, the “Georgetown” edition.
While this upcoming Air Jordan 1 High 85 “Georgetown” edition is not an original colorway, it’s roots date back to the 1980s on the OG Nike Dunk and Terminator silhouettes. It has since become a colorway synonymous with Jordan Brand, dating back to when Georgetown University joined the Jordan Brand family. Keeping up with the theme, these AJ 1s come in a Hoyas-themed college navy, summit white and tech grey. Sporting an all-leather upper with navy blue overlays and grey underlays. Sail hits on the tongue and midsole give off a vintage look while the construction of the sneaker is a nod to Peter Moore’s original design.
The Air Jordan 1 High 85 “Georgetown” is set to release on February 16th, 2022. It will launch at Nike as well as select retailers in-store and online. They will be available in men's sizing retailing for $200.
