Like the "Bred," but not the "Bred."
Over the past four decades, the black, red, and white color combination as been a Jordan Brand staple. First revealed all the way back in 1985 when MJ first stepped on the court rocking the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Chicago," the holy trinity still makes its way to his sneakers even today, including on the Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low "Black Gym Red." Bearing a striking resemblance to the legendary "Bred" colorway, it has been slightly reworked for a extra stealthy vibe.
Crafted from a full leather construction that's smooth and sleek to the touch, this Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low is painted predominantly in understated black hues, while fiery gym red accents take over the sockliner, Swooshes, and heel badge. While we're here, the classic winged basketball emblem features around the back, but it was been completely blanked out leaving just the insignia's outline. You also won't find a Jumpman logo on the tongue for a simple yet striking look and feel. Underfoot, the Nike Air midsole has been significantly heightened for extra comfort and cushioning, making these more of a lifestyle shoe than a performance one.
The Nike Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low Black Gym Red W is expected to hit Nike, the SNKRS app, and select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide in January 2023. Coming in exclusively in women's sizing, retail is set at $135.
