Cementing its legacy in the sneaker world, the Air Jordan 1 is still one of the most beloved sneakers in history, even if the “hype” around the model isn’t as strong as it once was. While Jordan Brand has given us colorways on the model that mimic vintage pairs from back in the day, like the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Chicago Lost And Found, finding actual pairs from 1985 (the original release year of the AJ 1) is pricy and complicated. Helping celebrate the release of the upcoming Ben Affleck-directed movie telling the story of MJ signing with Nike, AIR, eBay is selling a complete set of Air Jordan 1 colorways from 1985.
This set of original AJ 1s comprises 20 different sneakers, 18 of which are high-tops (two AJKOs included) and two low-tops. We see the most iconic colorways from this time, like the “Chicago” and “Bred,” while more rare pairs, like the "Metallic Orange," are also a part of this unique collection. Of all the sneakers, 11 pairs are brand new, while the rest varies in condition, with most being gently used. Hardcore collectors hoping to find all OG details from the release (box, tags, etc.) may be disappointed not every pair will come with a box or tags.
As mentioned, finding any pair from 1985 will be costly and complicated, and the $150,000 price reserve for the complete set of Air Jordan 1s from 1985 is unsurprising.
