Aime Leon Dore’s New Balance RC56 Pack Releases May 2025

Teddy Santis, his Aime Leon Dore label, and New Balance have developed a symbiotic relationship that has elevated all three to new heights. Santis has been at the helm of NB’s Made in USA line for three years, and Aime Leon Dore continues to play a pivotal role in introducing new sneakers to the market. However, the duo’s latest collaboration on the RC56 marks a first for both brands.
New Balance has consistently used ALD to help promote new models and retros of archival designs, but the RC56 is the first sneaker designed from the ground up by the two partners. Inspiration for the low-profile sneaker, first teased in February during ALD’s Spring/Summer 2025 campaign video, comes from archival New Balance cross-country runners from the early 2000s, reinterpreting these speed-driven aesthetics through a modern lens. For its debut, ALD has prepped three colorways, one in Pristine, another in Navy, and finally a Grey Volt pair.

Outside of these Aime Leon Dore colorways, New Balance has plans to release in-line variants of the RC56 later in the year and into next year. So far, Sole Retriever can confirm that at least four other pairs are dropping in 2025, including Black, Sea Salt, Ice Wine, and Shipyard. As for the tech within the sneaker, the outsole features FuelCell branding, indicating that the midsole comes with FuelCell foam.
The Aime Leon Dore x New Balance RC56 Pack will release via a raffle on Aime Leon Dore’s website, which is currently open to enter. Entries close on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET. All three pairs will retail for $160 and be released via a FCFS online and in-store drop on Friday, May 23.
