Once at the height of sneaker culture, Yohji Yamamoto and his sub-label Y-3 over at adidas have cooled off in recent years in regards to the hype, though the Japanese-based designer is still pushing the boundaries with footwear and fashion. Heading into the archives, Y-3 is taking one of its original silhouettes and adding vibrant colors to its upper with the adidas Y-3 Qasa High "Orange."
Vibrant orange takes over the neoprene upper with varying shades dressing the suede and straps seen throughout. Down on the toe, a darker orange suede mudguard wraps around to touch the base of the forefoot strap, coming in a differently-hued orange compared to the rest of the sneaker. Working up towards the laces, a combo of orange suede and white plastic act at the eyestays for a tonal set of orange flat laces. Back on the heel, a white plastic overlay dons Y-3 branding, sitting just above the heels suede overlay. Underfoot, a white Tubular midsole and outsole get a hit of Yohji Yamamoto branding towards the toe, completing this high fashion look
The adidas Y-3 Qasa High Orange is set to release on July 15th, 2022 through adidas Confirmed and select Three Stripes retailers online and in-store.
