Streetwear and high fashion have merged in the last few years with the likes of Supreme teaming up with Louis Vuitton and most recently with Burberry. This has trickled down to sportswear brands as well, with many fashion houses bringing their taste to Nike, Reebok, and adidas. With a Gucci x adidas Collection revealed last month, it seems that Yeezy’s two favorite collaborators have one on the way as well with images appearing of an Balenciaga x adidas Triple S “White Black.”
adidas puts its touch on the chunky Balenciaga Triple S through its branding and simple white and black makeup that mimics the iconic adidas Superstar. The usual mesh on the toebox remains with a leather mudguard overlay that wraps around towards the midfoot in white. Normally hosting a mesh panel, the midfoot underlay is taken over by white perforated leather and adidas Three Stripe branding. Just below this, another panel of white leather is home to Balenciaga branding. Back on the heel, both brands are present on the heel tab with the adidas Trefoil logo and Balenciaga stamped atop the black leather. Rounding out the entire look is the famous triple-stacked midsole coming in a tri-color mix of grey, white, and black paired to a grey and black rubber outsole.
The Balenciaga x adidas Triple S White Black is set to be available for pre-order on May 22nd, 2022, closing on May 29th. It will be available through Balenciaga and adidas, both online and in select stores. Coming in unisex sizing, retail is set at $1,100.
