The fashion industry is one of the largest contributors to pollution on the planet as the number of resources required to harness raw materials and then manufacture them into wearable garments leaves a giant carbon footprint. As we’ve seen across the industry, brands like adidas have made a promise to reduce their carbon footprints through the use of recycled, refurbished, and sustainability-sourced materials - even introducing a “Made To Be Remade” collection. On top of the aforementioned collection and their use of Parley Ocean Plastics, the latest pack of adidas Ultraboost 22s is coming under the “Made With Nature” banner.
To qualify as a “Made With Nature” product, the sneaker must come constructed with a minimum of 30% natural and renewable materials, however, the two colorways of the Ultraboost 22 featured in this pack actually reaches upwards of 50% natural and renewable materials. Both colorways featured take on a combination of neutral shades and earth tones with one coming in "Core Black Wonder Taupe" and the second seen in "White Tint Zero Metallic." Even with the sustainably sourced materials, the sneakers still feature the same Primeknit pattern you’d find on a standard UB22 as well as details like the TPU heel counter and thick Boost midsole. Denoting the “Made With Nature” connection, the tongue features the acronym “MWN” on the Core Black colorway while the White Tint comes with a graphic of a cup of coffee alongside adidas branding details. Finishing the look is the Continental rubber outsole with Linear Energy Push tech to help with a more responsive ride.
The adidas Ultraboost 22 Made With Nature Pack is set to release on December 15th, 2022 exclusively through adidas online and in-store. Releasing in unisex sizing, both pairs will retail for $190.
