adidas continues to expand its Ultraboost lineup by including nearly a dozen universities in its Ultraboost 1.0 Collegiate Pack. The brand has a history of celebrating schools through Ultraboost colorways, but the new Collegiate Pack sees adidas rework its typical design language.
The adidas Ultraboost 1.0 Collegiate Pack is an impressive collection, with 11 colleges each getting their own Ultraboost 1.0 colorway. The schools featured are ASU, Texas A&M, Miami, NC State, Washington, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Nebraska, Kansas, Grambling State, and Rutgers. Each sneaker carries the distinctive color schemes of its respective school. Notably, all the designs feature All Terrain (ATR) outsoles suited for various weather conditions. A robust TPU overlay on the mudguard, midfoot, and heel adds reinforcement, coupled with the trademark Three Stripes branding on the midfoot. The traditional lacing system has been switched out for a speedy pull toggle, giving the pack a sleek and modern look.
Another standout feature for the pack are the mismatched tongue tags. On the right sneaker, the label showcases each school's logo, name, city, state and GPS coordinates. The left sneaker carries an adidas logo, again with the location and coordinates, but also including an additional text hit specific to the school. The University of Washington's, for example, reads "Bow Down."
The adidas Ultraboost 1.0 Collegiate Pack will release July 15 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
