From a Mr. Bailey collaboration to the new adiFOM Q, adidas has been innovating their footwear designs, though at the same time drawing criticism due to alleged “copying” of Ye’s footwear through their new adidas Adilette 22. Taking inspiration from the 032C x adidas Mule, and already appearing in sample colorways, the adidas Rovermule Adventure emerges in a monochromatic "Core Black."
The silhouette comes dressed with neoprene across the majority of the upper with small hits of suede on the toe and mesh along the midfoot breaking up the design. Extra padding up near the forefoot, which also hosts a 3D adidas Trefoil logo, acts as the “tongue” of the slip-on mule while an internal neoprene bootie keeps your foot locked in place. Three Stripe branding continues on the mesh patch, though the fused overlay is hidden as it takes on a matching black tone. Underfoot, a 3D printed midsole sharing the same makeup as the adidas Adilette 22 gets paired with an outdoor-ready traction pattern on the outsole.
The adidas Rovermule Adventure Core Black is slated to release on November 3rd, 2022 through adidas and select Three Stripes retailers online and in-store. Coming in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
