New adidas SPZL F.C. Pack Celebrates Iconic European Soccer Clubs

Here in the U.S., we are in the swing of prime sports season. The MLB playoffs are down to four teams, football season is keeping TVs on all weekend, and basketball pre-season has every city’s hopes up. Across the pond, though, there’s only one sport that truly matters: soccer season.

To celebrate the driving force in European sports culture, German sportswear powerhouse adidas is back with more team-specific sneaker colorways, designing three exclusive Roelee SPZLs with team crest inspiration. To start, the adidas SPZL F.C. Pack takes on three of Europe’s legendary clubs, Newcastle United, Celtic, and Aston Villa.

Drawing on historic club crests, each team took part in the design process of the colorways from start to finish. For the Newcastle United pair, the vintage crest is incorporated in the light blue tongue label with a gold border. The rest of the shoe gets a black suede upper, white accents on the Three Stripes, and a translucent sole. Club branding is featured on the heel logo and the insoles.

The Celtic colorway blends varying shades of green from historic club crests on the upper, laces, and tongue logo. The Three Stripes, tongue, heel counter, and sock liner are white, while the sole is all black. Finally, the Aston Villa colorway mixes a maroon suede upper, baby blue accents on the Three Stripes and heel, golden yellow on the tongue label, and a gum sole underneath.

The latest adidas SPZL F.C. Pack is for real fans only. Each team’s official club store will be handling the release, with Newcastle United and Aston Villa dropping their respective colorways on October 16 and Celtic on October 17.
