The Moncler x adidas Collection Releases October 4
When it comes to collaborations with some of the most luxurious fashion houses in the world, adidas is certainly no stranger to them. In the past five years, the German sportswear company has partnered up with everyone from Balenciaga to Gucci on vast collections which include everything from headwear, footwear, and everything in between. Now, the Herzogenaurach-based label is ready to reveal its next high-end chapter with the adidas Originals x Moncler Genius collab - and here's everything that we know so far.
Taking to its official Instagram account, adidas Originals teased the collaboration with a co-branded logo. According to the post, this partnership will drop through the Italian imprint's Genius division which places a laser-sharp focus on collaborations with some of the world's most influential people. Past contributors have included fragment design, Palm Angels, Pharrell, and Salehe Bembury, and now, they're adding adidas to the ever-growing roster. Weeks after this, a runway show featuring various items from the collaboration took place with classic Moncler motifs, like puffy outerwear, combining with iconic Three Stripes branding details.
Following the official lookbook, early images of a puffy version of the adidas Campus with Moncler co-branding emerged. Like many of the pieces in the collection, the two colorways revealed feature vibrant eye-catching shades, one "Volt" and one "Royal." Moncler branding is placed near the collar in a silver finish with co-branded details landing on the internal leather tongue and heel tab. A standard adidas Campus midsole and outsole complete the look.
Official images of the collection appeared just a few weeks before its release and featured puffy versions of the NMD in various styles, all of which feature Gore-Tex coverings. Multiple colorways are present on each new NMD silhouette, sans the NMD High Boot which comes in an all-black rendition.
The adidas Originals x Moncler Genius collection is set to release October 4, 2023 through adidas Confirmed and on October 5 through Moncler and select retailers online and in-store.
