The adidas Nova IIInfinity is set to drop in many colorways for the holiday season. Among them are Bred, Legend Ink, and Cloud White Core Black. Another colorway has been added to the lineup, Blue Spark, marking the first time the model has had some serious use of color infused into the design.
Alongside the Mad IIInfinity and Crazy IIInfinity, the adidas Nova IIInfinity expands the IIInfinity series, which is on the rise and ever-growing. While the original signature sneakers of Kobe Bryant are a base for inspiration, the range also nods to the chunky, retro look that dominated the 90s. During that decade, adidas introduced its Feet You Wear (FYW) technology after licensing it from inventor Frampton Ellis, who revolutionized how footwear design was approached. This technology prioritized comfort and ergonomics in bold, exaggerated silhouettes that became iconic. The IIInfinity range revives this look, enhancing it with thicker, statement-making soles and pronounced design features that feel incredibly futuristic but relevant. The sneakers use bold colorways and exaggerated features, like high soles and dynamic overlays, that make each pair stand out. By merging the nostalgic vibes of 90s FYW styles with modern tech and style influences, adidas has created a sneaker collection that appeals to a new generation while honoring its storied heritage.
Delving into the adidas Nova IIInfinity Blue Spark, the sneaker features an upper dominated by sidewall panels of synthetic leather, which blends seamlessly with the core black synthetics that wrap around the heel. A mesh tongue hosts a hidden lacing system dressed in black with a silver top eyelet set. EQT branding is visible via the cutout on the tongue and on the back heel. Blue Spark continues on the midsole, with a two-tone blue and white shank at the midfoot. A rubber outsole is applied underfoot to provide you with that extra grip.
The adidas Nova IIInfinity Blue Spark is set to release on November 9, 2024, via adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $130. He will forever profess that Cricket is better than Baseball and that Rugby League is better then Rugby Union. Among his many hot takes, he believes the adidas ZX range is the pinnacle of sneaker design.
