Sustainability is top of mind with the adidas NMD_S1 Ready To Be Remade "Core Black."
Years after the NMD craze died off, adidas has beefed up the sock-like silhouette through their latest rendition, the adidas NMD_S1. With a duo of colorways previously released, adidas is looking to bring recyclability to the model with the adidas NMD_S1 Made To Be Remade “Core Black”.
This “Core Black” colorway is coming to us in an all-black look from top to bottom, sans the white branding hit on the tongue and white stripes on the heel. Along the tongue, you’ll find a lacing system that serves a more aesthetic purpose rather than a practical one. Landing atop the tongue is a small tag with the adidas Trefoil logo. Working towards the midfoot portion, the usual transparent cage gets decked out in all black, surrounded by the Three Stripes in the same shade. Back on the heel, four white stripes run horizontally to the edge of the collar. The translucent black sole unit underneath infuses DNA from previous NMDs with the TPU plugs getting an angular redesign. “Made To Be Remade” text on the rear TPU plug nods to the fact that the model can be sent back to adidas to be recycled and eventually be a part of another pair. Completing the look is the Trefoil-traction patterned rubber outsole and black/white colored Boost cushioning system housed within.
The adidas NMD_S1 Made To Be Remade Core Black is set to drop on May 19th, 2022 through the adidas Confirmed app and select retailers online and instore. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $220. To stay updated on the latest from adidas and more, keep it locked to our Twitter and our Mobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
