The adidas Harden Vol. 9 borrows from the design language of the ultra-futuristic adidas AE 1, the debut sneaker of NBA star Anthony Edwards, indicating adidas Basketball will continue to deliver more polarizing sneakers in the future. It features wavy-like midfoot panels, a striking departure from the foam and large cutouts seen on the Vol. 8. The upper of the Harden Vol. 9 primarily comprises TPU, covering most of the sneaker with wavy cutouts that reveal a mesh base.
This design adds a visually appealing texture to the shoe and promises enhanced breathability and flexibility. The sneaker retains the internal bootie construction from previous models, ensuring a snug and secure fit for serious on-court performance.
