A bubbling trend within the sneaker scene has been customizing kicks, whether that be dip-dying pairs or creating fantasy collabs between Travis Scott, Off-White, and Nike. The latter of these two customization processes requires much more leg work, having the knowledge to remove and add certain materials to the sneaker itself, though it seems adidas is doing the job for you on their latest release, the adidas Forum Mid “Patchwork.”
Truly delivering on the handcrafted aesthetic, a clashing color scheme and variety of materials make up this colorway’s Bauhaus-inspired design. On the toe, a grey toebox and black mudguard accent well with the burgundy-colored leather vamp, located near the burnt orange suede eyestays. Running up the black textile tongue is a set of two-tone purple and black flat laces to a Trefoil-branded tongue tag. Along the midfoot, a different textile comes in black and meshes well with the various suede and leather panels it sits near. Along the collar, black and purple hits continue this mismatched with a white polka dot aiding the previously mentioned Bauhaus-inspired design. Rounding out the look is a cream Forum midsole paired with a black rubber outsole.
The adidas Forum Mid Patchwork is slated to release on September 15th, 2022 through adidas and select Three Stripes retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
