The Three Stripes has for years looked to various regions across the globe for inspiration on redesigned archival silhouettes. Recently, we saw the American state of Illinois and its prairie fields, as well as the native Canadian village of Hochelaga, get translated into footwear. Continuing this “City Series” theme, the adidas Dublin has just appeared in a clean “Collegiate Royal Solar Red” colorway.
Like many archival silhouettes from adidas, the adidas Dublin gets covered in suede across its upper, with this pair featuring a tonal collegiate royal throughout. The same panels usually found on city series releases, like the small toecap and jagged edge eyestays, remain. Tonal blue laces accent the brandless suede tongue while we see vibrant solar red hits appear on the Three Stripes branding and heel tab. Metallic gold hits can be found in two places, on the midfoot with “Dublin” spelled out via the medial sockliner’s “City Series” text. Rounding out the design is the gum rubber midsole and outsole.
The adidas Dublin Collegiate Royal Solar Red is set to release through select EU retailers on April 13th, 2023, with a wider global release via adidas set for later in the year. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $100.
