Basketball may not be the top priority at adidas, however, their roster is full of some of the league's best including 2023 All-Star Donovan Mitchell. His signature lineup of sneakers with The Three Stripes, the D.O.N. Issue series, has taken on plenty of makeovers over the years with the Issue #4 recently taking on a Spider-Man collaboration, however, it seems his silhouette is taking on collegiate themes. Recently revealed, the adidas D.O.N. Issue #4 has appeared in a “Grambling State University” colorway.
Keeping its standard build of a LIGHTLOCK upper paired with a Lightstrike-cushioned sole unit, the silhouette comes covered in a digital-like camo that takes on shades of white and gold against a black-based mesh. This pattern transitions into a solid gold around the eyestays and back near the collar while the tongue tag features Donovan Mitchell’s spider logo in a similar gold hue on the right sneaker while Grambling State’s “G” logo lands on the left pair. Back on the heel, the entire section comes covered in white with more Mitchell and adidas branding. Rounding out the design is the two-tone black and white midsole paired with a similarly-shaded rubber outsole below.
The adidas D.O.N. Issue #4 Grambling State University is set to release on February 18th, 2023 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
