Now, we can all agree that when it comes to colorways, white and black seems to be one of the most popular across many genres. Whether it be clothing, cars, or, in this case, shoes, the "panda" look is very versatile. So it is no surprise to see adidas take the D.O.N. Issue #5 and give it a White Black makeover, opposing the Black White pair it's releasing alongside.
The adidas D.O.N Issue #5 White Black is one of the latest colorways of Cleveland Cavalier Donovan Mitchell's signature shoe. One of the cool things about this shoe is when you turn it to the side, you can envision that this is something a Stormtrooper would wear. You see a predominantly white sole with black round pods on both the forefoot and the heel. Those pivot points on the shoe are made for easy rotation while making turns on the court.
At the midfoot of the sole, you'll see Donovan Mitchell's signature on a Torsion System plate in black. The iconic adidas Three Stripes logo is moving in a slant in white. The black oval-shaped mesh on the lateral side doubles as ventilation for when your foot gets hot on the court. There's also black mesh on the heel for ventilation. You have a black lacing system with black accents to break up all the white yet tie together the all-around look of the shoe.
The adidas D.O.N. Issue #5 White Black will release October 24, 2023, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
