adidas Basketball is experiencing a remarkable resurgence, showcasing a blend of futuristic designs and nods to its rich heritage. A prime example of this revival is the adidas Crazy IIInfinity, a modern reinterpretation of Kobe Bryant's iconic adidas Crazy 1. Following the launch of the Stormtrooper colorway, adidas is now drawing inspiration from Bryant's time with the Los Angeles Lakers for the latest Crazy IIInfinity colorway.
The adidas Crazy IIInfinity Crew Yellow edition pays homage to the legacy of Kobe Bryant and his association with the Lakers. It retains the original Audi TT Roadster-inspired design, which has been updated to make it feel retro and forward-thinking. The upper features a synthetic material in a vibrant yellow, with debossed Three Stripes on the midfoot and toe, adding to the design's dynamic look. The heel tab is crafted from black TPU, creating a sharp contrast against the yellow.
The mesh shroud, which conceals the collar, tongue, and lace set, is also in black, further accentuating the sneaker's sleek appearance. The internals match this color scheme, maintaining a cohesive design. The sneaker is equipped with an EVA-cushioned midsole, ensuring comfort and performance. It is finished with a yellow outsole with purple hits near the heel – a subtle yet impactful nod to the Lakers' color palette.
The adidas Crazy IIInfinity Crew Yellow will release on April 6, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the sneaker will retail for $160.
