The late and great Kobe Bryant was, and still is, known for many things. From his wildly successful basketball career that spanned two decades, to the Mamba Sports Academy which has inspired countless of young athletes to achieve their full potential, he will always be one of the GOATs. On top of that, he has some of the most iconic signature sneakers of all time, including the adidas Kobe 1 which made its debut in 2000. Famous for its Audi TT-inspired design, while it may not have been everyone's cup of tea there's no doubt that it was nothing short of eye-catching. Whether you love to hate it or hate to love it, it's now set to return in the form of the upcoming adidas Crazy 1 "Regal Purple."
Featuring the same sports car-influenced aesthetic that made headlines 22 years ago, the Crazy 1 works on top of a breathable mesh base and is housed within a molded shell. Dipped in a striking regal purple colorway as a nod to the Lakers, chunky Three Stripe branding glides across the lateral and medial side panels, while the EVA-infused midsole is dipped in a metallic pewter shade. adidas logos are stitched onto the tongue and heel, and speaking of which, you'll find a headlight-like strip here as a nod to the sneaker's original design inspiration.
The adidas Crazy 1 Regal Purple is expected to release sometime in 2022 in men's sizes for $150. Set to arrive at adidas and select online and in-store retailers worldwide, keep it locked to our Twitter and the Mobile App for your best chance to cop.
