With the Kobe Bryant Estate having its feud with Nike for just about a year, questions were raised in regards to where his likeness would end up, and it seems that adidas may have jumped the gun a bit as the two partners eventually made up and returned to working with one another. Though not directly affiliated with Bryant anymore, the adidas Crazy 1 has a few colorways planned for 2022. Already seen in a Stormtrooper-inspired colorway, the original "Metallic Silver" colorway is headed our way.
Covered in metallic silver across its profile, toebox, and collar with accenting shades of black throughout, the silhouette’s Audi TT Roadster-inspired design makes sense once dressed in these shades. Up on the tongue, both the lace set and tongue get a two-tone metallic silver and black makeover, bleeding into the black sockliner and insole. Along the profile, the molded upper features Three Stripe branding across the midfoot. More black hits can be found on the heel tab, though it does get an accenting yellow bar above its adidas branding. Underfoot, the adiPRENE+ cushioned midsole comes in a slightly darker shade of metallic silver while the black rubber outsole completes the look.
The adidas Crazy 1 Metallic Silver is slated to release in 2022 through adidas and select Three Stripes retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is $140.
