The adidas AE 2 3SSB is Covered in Tie-Dye

Anthony Edwards is on a tear. After nearly ripping his ACL when he hyperextended his knee in the Timberwolves’ first-round series against the Nuggets, Ant Man healed like Wolverine and has once again become a force to be reckoned with in the T-Wolves second-round match-up against Wemby and the Spurs. Tied up 2-2, Edwards has been as loud as ever, chirping after every big bucket.

The latest pair of adidas AE 2 matches Edwards’ bright and braggadocious personality in a cotton candy, sunset sherbet mix of pink, purple, and peach. The adidas AE 2 3SSB picks up where the matching AE 1 pair left off, adding gradient shades of soft color to the model. Thankfully, this pair won’t be exclusive to the 3SSB hoopers like the original mid-top AE 1, with a release planned around the WNBA All-Star festivities.

Starting with two shades of peachy pink-orange on the tough TPU toe cap and structural paneling, the vents in the middle switch to purple for its first bright pop. The mesh side panels flip through shades of purple, pink, and orange, like the sky at the end of a hot summer day. More peach is added to the laces and tongue label, with AE’s logo adding the only bit of white for some contrast.
