adidas skateboarding may not have a silhouette with the same hype as the Nike SB Dunk Low, but they have a long line of low-key hits amongst the skating community. Long forgotten since the ‘90s, the adidas Adimatic is coming back in a handful of OG colorways.
Considering these sneakers were developed in a period with “primitive” technology compared to today's standards, the construction of this sneaker was built in mind for skaters to beat into the ground. A suede upper paired with a chunky midsole provides the durable ride any and all skaters are looking for. Thick flat laces weaving throughout the Three Stripe logo on the midfoot of the sneaker provide lockdown support. Continuing their push for recycled materials, the Adimatic will be constructed with 25% of the materials featuring 50% recycled content.
As of now five colorways of the adidas Adimatic are planned for this revival of a skateboarding classic. No exact release date has been announced, but expect these to launch through adidas and select retailers including skate shops online and in-store. Retailing for $80 exclusively in men's sizing, this silhouette could be a great alternative to other hyped-up skate shoes.
