If you spend most of your time on the internet, 404 likely stands out in your head as an error code. If you live in Atlanta, the numbers mean something a little different. 404 is the area code for Georgia’s biggest city, and with April 4th coming up soon, the A is getting ready to celebrate itself for 404 Day, and for the second year in a row, adidas is getting in on the party.
The adidas 404 Day Collection 2026 was previewed this week by ATL sneaker media squad ATATF with help from local retailer Sole Play. Arriving in two silhouettes, a Superstar and an Adistar Control 5, the pack brings out two pairs that have been the focus of recent adidas initiatives, joining the pairs with a shared shade of teal splashed on the upper.

The 404 Day Adistar Control 5 is as bright as it gets, covered in teal mesh with gold paneling on the toe and heel structure, with orange and blue on the Three Stripes branding and more orange on the laces, midsole accents, and heel. Cream covers the rest of the midsole, and a punch of pink is added at the ankle.
The Superstar keeps things much simpler, covered in white leather with cream on the shell toe and midsole, blue on the Three Stripes branding, and the same shade of team from the Control 5 on the laces and heel tab.

The adidas 404 Day Collection 2026 will be released April 4, 2026 through adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail prices on the pairs are still TBD. For all the latest adidas news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
