One pairing in the fashion world has consistently brought out fresh perspectives in classic sneaker models - Converse and ADER error. Founded in 2014, Seoul-based ADER error has become one of the industry’s most innovative labels. Known for its artistic and disruptive approach, the brand operates under the slogan "but near missed things,” a mantra that fuels its design philosophy. Reflecting on the past to inform the future, their latest collaboration with Converse merges nostalgia and innovation on the iconic Chuck Taylor All-Star 70.
The ADER error x Converse Chuck 70 Collection revisits the vintage charm of well-worn sneakers. The collaboration encapsulates the essence of old Chucks, using a distinctive layered approach to capture the spirit of an aged aesthetic on the Chuck 70 Ox and Chuck 70 Hi. Imperfect details like roughed-up canvas overlays and a burnished distressed effect on the foxing give a nod to the sneakers' storied past. "Create Next - the new is not new" is the collaboration's theme, celebrating the cyclical nature of fashion and style. Both pairs of Converse feature white and blue hues, the Chuck 70 Ox coming primarily in blue, with the Chuck 70 Hi inverting the color scheme.
The ADER error x Converse Chuck 70 Collection will release July 27, 2023, through ADER error and August 1 via Converse and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120 for the Chuck 70 Ox and $140 for the Chuck 70 Hi.
