Action Bronson Dropping New Balance 1890 Hornet Tusk This Week

Chef-turned-rapper-turned-designer-turned-painter Action Bronson is at it again. Bronsolino began his formal relationship with New Balance in 2024 on a two-pack of 990v6 colorways, and since then, he’s dropped over a dozen different colorways across the 1906R, 992 Made in USA, Minimus Trail, and FuelCell Rebel v4 models. His most recent work with the Boston-based brand has been on the 1890, a brand-new silhouette he helped debut with the release of the Cyborg Tears colorway last month. Now, the second pair, dubbed Hornet Tusk, has a formal release date.

Much like his previous work, Action Bronson swaps materials on this second colorway in the 1890 pack, replacing the perforated mesh base with a lacey crocheted material. Bronson spelled out the influence quite clearly on his Instagram a few weeks back, displaying a photo of a doily with the caption explaining that his grandma and aunt would crochet these while Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy played in the background.

This doily material is done in white to match the white wavy panels around the toe and front half of the forefoot, while pops of blue and yellow emerge on the back half of the sneaker. A light blue tongue, contrasting gold and burgundy laces, and a yellow heel counter help complete the upper. Finishing the design is the grey ABZORB-cushioned midsole with neon yellow ABZORB pods running the full length of the sneaker.

The Action Bronson x New Balance 1890 Hornet Tusk will be released via early access on February 5, 2026. A first-come-first-served release is set to take place on February 6.
