From the streets of Tokyo to the urban sprawl of Los Angeles, BAPE's influence on the streetwear culture is undeniable. As 2023 approaches its grand finale, fans of the brand are in for a treat with the collaboration between AAPE, BAPE's sub-label, and the California-born skateboard shoe brand Vans.
At the core of the AAPE x Vans Bolt Pack are two alluring iterations of the Sk8-Hi Bolt and two versions of the Authentic Bolt. The first draws inspiration from the "Grey Camo" aesthetic, blending BAPE's signature ABC Camo seamlessly into the canvas parts of the upper. Complementing the grey camo is a series of grey overlays that give the design depth and contrast. Touches of blue grace the Jazz Stripe on the Sk8-Hi and weave into the stitching patterns, Vans' emblematic logo, and AAPE's embroidered monogram on the Authentic.
On the other hand, the second colorway delves into the classic camo, presenting varying shades of green. A harmonious clash of red and pink accents populate the Vans-branded tongue tag and the Jazz Stripe, respectively. However, what truly ties the sneakers together is the white rubber midsole punctuated by an electric lightning bolt extending upwards and the "AAPE" insignia positioned near the heel. Completing the look is a semi-translucent rubber outsole infused with BAPE's camo, reflecting the primary shade of each sneaker.
The AAPE x Vans Bolt Pack has been released at overseas retailers like Up There Store and will hit shelves globally in Holiday 2023 through BAPE and select retailers online and in-store.
