The partnership between Nike and A Ma Maniere, one of The Whitaker Group's flagship stores led by James Whitner, continues to capture the attention of the sneaker community. Despite the swirling controversy around Whitner, Nike's partnership with his brand remains unshaken. This relationship has borne fruit once more, as evidenced by an unseen A Ma Maniere x Nike Air Max 95. Prior to this, Whitner was seen in the yet-to-be-released A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 4.
This potential collaboration on the Air Max 95 model, a staple in Nike's Air Max line, showcases a design that aligns with A Ma Maniere's signature aesthetic. Currently, it’s unconfirmed if this pair will be getting a retail release, if it is a friends & family pair, or if this is just an extremely high-quality custom.
The sneaker features a harmonious blend of burgundy and cream tones, embodying the luxurious yet understated style characteristic of A Ma Maniere's previous collaborations. The sneaker's distinctive wavy side panels are adorned in varying shades of burgundy, with additional stitching that lends a handcrafted, almost DIY appearance to the design. The branding elements are subtly integrated, with A Ma Maniere's touch evident on the mudguard and tongue tag. At the same time, the reflective 3M heel tab prominently displays a large 'A' logo alongside the classic Nike branding. Underpinning the upper is a cream-colored Air Max 95 midsole and an outsole that mixes black and burgundy hues.
The A Ma Maniere x Nike Air Max 95 may release in 2024, though as stated previously there is no confirmation the pair will be getting a retail release. If the pair does go to retail, expect a raffle at The Whitaker Group storefronts, drop via A Ma Maniere online, and possibly via Nike SNKRS.
