LeBron James has a hilarious relationship with pop culture. From adding a deluxe edition to 2 Chainz' album and lip-syncing lyrics he hasn’t quite memorized on social media, to carrying unread books into playoff games and telling white lies about how many times he’s seen The Godfather, if there’s one media corner we believe ‘Bron is really a fan of, it’s Family Guy. A consistent theme in his signature sneaker line, LBJ broke out another Stewie Griffin-themed shoe this week on his path to world domination.

The Nike LeBron 23 Stewie is a play on Stewie Griffin’s forever overalled outfit, combining blue, red, white, yellow, and black for a cartoonishly loud colorway. The bottom third of the shoe is done in baby blue, similar to Stewie’s shoes. The red of the evil baby’s overalls covers the medial side panels and stripes around the middle of the entire shoe, with white covering the rest of the upper, and yellow on the tongue representing Stewie’s shirt.

This isn’t the first time LeBron has channeled the Griffin family’s youngest delinquent, first debuting a LeBron 6 Stewie PE in 2009 that was later worn on court years after by sneaker aquisition wizard PJ Tucker. Nike also brought back the colorway for the LeBron 18. So far, we’ve only seen the LeBron 23 in colorways directly tied to his career achievements and memories, but this pair skips the deep storyline for some good ol’ cartoon nostalgia.

LeBron debuted the Nike LeBron 23 Stewie on court against Devin Booker and the Suns. As of now, there’s no confirmation that the pair is releasing. For all the latest LeBron Nike news, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
